Summer weddings are right around the corner! We love to see the unique details each couple adds to their day. Despite everyone having their own thing going on, trends still play a huge role on one of the biggest days of your life, whether it’s the style you choose or what’s available for you to purchase. We combed the web and chose our favorite trends to share with you, so look for these styles this summer wedding season and get inspired!
Brides are loving the minimalist trends, and that goes for bridal style as well as general lifestyle. The looks we love are casual elegance, long sleeves, high necklines, statement backs, gorgeous lace, and champagne instead of white. Especially after the Royal Wedding last week, this simple style is going to be all the rave. Pair this elegant look with wavy, relaxed hair for the full look.
Mix & Match
Letting your bridesmaids choose their own dresses within your color palette gives them the freedom to find the best shape for their body and tone for their skin, giving them a confidence boost as well as a very pretty scheme of colors in your wedding photos.
Living plants are one of our favorite new trends, and we hope it sticks! Use potted plants to decorate the aisle, or as centerpieces on your guest tables. Hang beautiful green plants from the walls and ceiling, and use herbs to embellish your antique plates and napkins. At the end of the day, send your guests home with seed packets to plant or paper cups with living succulents. There are endless ways to incorporate beautiful greenery into your wedding!
Gold and silver touches are popular for good reason. When done tastefully, the feeling is chic and timeless. Choose champagne and rose tones for dresses and shoes, candles, chargers, stationery, and even your cake!
Bold Colors and Textures
We’ve seen lots and lots of blush, gold, and navy recently, but are very excited about the bold colors and textures coming up this summer! Don’t be afraid to mix it up and bring in rich burgundy and purple, mustard yellow, reds, and deep greens. Go bold or go home!
Pets at Ceremonies
Getting married isn’t what it used to be, folks. Most couples have lived together for some time before they tie the knot, and there’s nothing wrong with that! It just means you might have a furry little friend you want at your ceremony, because you’ve started your family and love them like a child. Bring them to the wedding and incorporate your fluff-nugget into your ceremony!
Oh, how we love this idea! We made it easy for food trucks at Little Lights and we can’t wait for a courageous bride and groom to hire a food truck for their reception meal! Mix it up and make it fun.
